Aminath Hilmy uses pen and ink out in the middle of the Indian Ocean among the atolls of The Maldives. Her rhythmically hypnotic drawings result from intense tension between her line and mysteriously blank white space in most of her work. Hilmy's art frees the spirit in a surprise waiting for those who stop and look. We hope to have a few more images in the near future. |
