Somehow, Jane Parker sees an invisible
world in the visible around her. She is then able to create from concrete
substance, senses, and feeling an art that clearly unblinds us to what
swirls amidst and through us. Her paintings, roughly 24 by 30 inches,
gouache and ink and color on heavy paper, leave nothing out, as if Parker
empties her vision onto the paper so that she might continue. Her
visionary world then enters ours, to take us along where otherwise we
might never tread. |
