This looks like image photography, like Matthew Thorsen pushed the button, the shutter moved and the image out there was burned in the little box. But I don't think that's what it is. I don't think these are photos. They look to me like the trick of the magician, the twilight zone episode of the guy with the burning ideas ( if there was an episode like that). Where the image falls out of his bony head into the camera just as the quick eye opens and closes. And what's caught is something we wouldn't see and probably won't again on our own. These aren't photos. That'd be too simple. I'm proud, after ten years, to finally exhibit a photoartist's work and have that photoartist be Matthew Thorsen. |
